Foxwoods Reports Another $50 Million Slot Revenue Month ...

MASHANTUCKET, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Foxwoods Resort Casino? today reported August 2012 slot revenue of $50.5 million on handle of $592.5 million. The revenue figure represents a 3.3 percent decline compared to the same month a year ago; handle was off 6.3 percent from August of 2011.

?Our August results demonstrate a trend toward market stabilization,? said Foxwoods CEO Scott C. Butera, ?as our slot revenue steadies to within a narrow range of $50 million a month.?

Foxwoods contributed $12.8 million to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in August 2012, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state of Connecticut since the Resort Casino opened in 1992 to more than $3.40 billion.
